The Australian MotoGP leaves Phillip Island and runs for the first time on the new Adelaide Street Circuit in Adelaide's East Park Lands from 12 to 14 November 2027, with the Grand Prix on Sunday 14 November. There is no camping at the circuit, so campervan travellers stay at Adelaide caravan parks such as Adelaide Caravan Park in Hackney, about 2 km from the city centre, where powered sites start from $69 a night. In our live search for 10 to 17 November 2027, Adelaide campervan hire starts from about $65 a day, with Apollo, Britz, Campervan Village, Adventure Rentals, Jucy, Maui, Mighty, Spaceships and Star RV all showing vans.

Which rental brands suit the Australian MotoGP in Adelaide?

Nine brands we compare returned campervans, motorhomes or 4WD campers from Adelaide in our live search for 10 to 17 November 2027: Apollo, Britz, Campervan Village, Adventure Rentals, Jucy, Maui, Mighty, Spaceships and Star RV. We found no MotoGP-specific rental rules. Because the race is held on city streets and there is no camping at the circuit, you will be parking at a caravan park rather than at the track, so choose a van for the road trip around the race as much as for race weekend.

  • Budget two to three sleepers: Campervan Village (Mini Camper with a rooftop tent, Aventus, Johnny Feelgood, Alice Chillgood), Spaceships (Beta 2S, Beta Standard), Jucy (Crib Plus, Coaster) and Mighty (HiLITE, DeLITE, Highball, Double Down) suit couples and riders who will use caravan park amenities.
  • Self-contained with shower and toilet: Mighty Duo, Deuce and Deuce Plus, Apollo Euro Mini, Euro Tourer and Euro Plus, Britz Trailblazer, Maui Ultima and Ultima Plus, and Star RV Polaris 2.
  • Four to six berths for families and groups: Britz Voyager, Jucy Condo, Mighty Double Up and Big Six, Apollo Euro Quest, Euro Camper and Euro Deluxe, Maui Beach and River, and Star RV Polaris 6.
  • 4WD campers for a longer outback trip: Campervan Village D5 4x4, Grip 4x4 Camper (on request) and Desert Sands, Adventure Rentals Toyota Prado Camper, Hilux 4WD and Hilux Dual Rooftop Tent, Apollo 4WD Adventure Camper and Overland Camper 4WD, Mighty 4WD Camper and Britz Maverick.

Auto-Sleepers and Red Sands Campers appear in our Adelaide operator list but returned no vans for these dates, so we do not list them as bookable. Our Adelaide search also lets you change the drop-off city if you want a one-way hire, for example on to Melbourne after the race.

How much does campervan hire for the Australian MotoGP cost?

Prices below are in Australian dollars per day from our live Adelaide search on 19 October 2026, picking up Wednesday 10 November 2027 and returning Wednesday 17 November 2027. All but one vehicle showed Available Now with instant confirmation, and the Campervan Village Grip 4x4 Camper showed on request. The results also show a total for the hire, for example $678.54 for the Campervan Village Mini Camper, $2,560.01 for the Mighty Big Six and $3,743.13 for the Star RV Polaris 6.

  • Two sleepers without a toilet: about $81 to $371 a day (Campervan Village Aventus to Britz Maverick).
  • Three to five sleepers without a toilet: about $65 to $396 a day (Campervan Village Mini Camper, Jucy Crib Plus and Condo, Britz Voyager, Campervan Village Desert Sands, Adventure Rentals Hilux Dual Rooftop Tent).
  • Two to three sleepers with shower and toilet: about $291 to $461 a day (Mighty Duo, Apollo Euro Mini, Britz Trailblazer, Maui Ultima Plus, Star RV Polaris 2).
  • Four sleepers with shower and toilet: about $314 to $399 a day (Mighty Double Up, Apollo Euro Quest and Euro Camper, Maui Beach).
  • Six sleepers with shower and toilet: about $320 to $463 a day (Mighty Big Six, Apollo Euro Deluxe, Maui River, Star RV Polaris 6).

These rates leave out insurance excess options, one-way fees, extras such as camping kits and power leads, and fuel. They also leave out your caravan park fees and race tickets. Camping for the Adelaide MotoGP: caravan parks, not trackside

There is no camping at the Adelaide Street Circuit. The official FAQ answers the question directly, saying that a street circuit in the heart of the city means more accommodation options, including camping facilities in and around metro Adelaide and the beaches. This is the biggest change from Phillip Island, where the 2026 event ran its own Highside North, Highside South and Trackside campgrounds with powered, pre-pitched, standard and caravan sites.

Caravan parks close to the circuit

  • Adelaide Caravan Park, Hackney: run by Aspen Holidays, about 2 km from the heart of the CBD and close to the Botanic Gardens and Adelaide Zoo. Powered sites start from $69 a night and range from 5 m to 15 m, so most rental motorhomes fit. This is the closest park to the circuit we found.
  • Levi Adelaide Holiday Park, Vale Park: on the River Torrens about 4 km from the city, with ensuite powered sites plus shady gravel and grassed powered sites for caravans, motorhomes and RVs of all sizes, a heated pool and a camp kitchen.
  • Discovery Parks West Beach Parks: on 1.2 km of beachfront about 9 km from the CBD, with caravan and camping sites, cabins and a pool.
  • Discovery Parks Adelaide Beachfront, Semaphore Park: a beachside park on Military Road with a dump point, camp kitchen and pool, further from the circuit but on the coast.

What to expect

  • Event rates and minimum stays may apply on race weekend, and the parks above did not publish MotoGP rates when we checked. Book as soon as you lock in your dates, because the race draws interstate and overseas visitors.
  • The circuit is a temporary street circuit built each year with fencing, barriers and grandstands, so there is no vehicle access to the circuit area for campervans. Organisers say transport and parking details will be released closer to the event.
  • Leave the van at the park and travel into the city by public transport, taxi or rideshare on race days.

Start with our Adelaide campervan hire page and check updates on the official event site.

Getting to the Adelaide MotoGP in a campervan

The Adelaide Street Circuit runs through the East Park Lands on the eastern edge of the CBD. The 4.13 km layout has 15 corners and brings back parts of the Formula One track of the 1980s and 1990s, including Stag Corner, Rundle Road, Brewery Bend and Dequetteville Terrace, where MotoGP bikes are modelled to reach about 343 km/h. Moto2 and Moto3 also race.

Where to pick up your campervan

  • Britz: 740 Port Wakefield Road, Parafield Gardens, in Adelaide's northern suburbs. From 1 September to 30 April it lists 9am to 3:30pm every day.
  • Other brands: Apollo, Campervan Village, Adventure Rentals, Jucy, Maui, Mighty, Spaceships and Star RV all returned vans from Adelaide. Check each depot's address and pick-up times when you book.
  • From Melbourne: you can pick up in Melbourne and drive the Western Highway or the Great Ocean Road to Adelaide, which is more than 700 km, so allow at least two days and check the one-way fee.

Parking and race-day travel

The official site confirms there will be dedicated motorbike parking, and says transport and parking details will be released closer to the event. Expect road closures around the East Park Lands while the temporary circuit is in place, so do not plan to drive a campervan into the city on race days. Park at your caravan park and use public transport, taxi or rideshare. See our Adelaide campervan hire page and the official MotoGP Adelaide site for updates.

An 8 day Australian MotoGP campervan trip from Adelaide

This plan matches our search dates, collecting on Wednesday 10 November 2027 and returning on Wednesday 17 November 2027. The 2027 Adelaide session timetable has not been published. On recent MotoGP weekends, Friday is practice, Saturday has qualifying and the Sprint race, and Sunday is the Grand Prix.

Day 1 (Wednesday 10 November): Collect and head to the Barossa

Pick up your campervan in the morning, stock up on food and drive about an hour to the Barossa, roughly 70 km north-east of Adelaide, for cellar doors and a caravan park night among the vines.

Day 2 (Thursday 11 November): Adelaide Hills and into the city

Drive through the Adelaide Hills, stop at the German heritage town of Hahndorf, then check in to your Adelaide caravan park for four nights.

Day 3 (Friday 12 November): Practice day

Head to the circuit by public transport for the first practice sessions. Fill up at the Adelaide Central Market beforehand, which opens Tuesday to Saturday.

Day 4 (Saturday 13 November): Qualifying and the Sprint

Details of grandstands, general admission areas and viewing platforms will be announced closer to the event, so check the official site before you go.

Day 5 (Sunday 14 November): Grand Prix day

The MotoGP Grand Prix of Australia is round 21 of 22 in the 2027 championship, so the title fight may still be alive. Stay at your park another night rather than driving after the race.

Day 6 (Monday 15 November): McLaren Vale

Drive about 45 minutes south to McLaren Vale, around 40 km from the city, for wineries and a quieter night after race weekend.

Day 7 (Tuesday 16 November): Fleurieu coast and Victor Harbor

Continue to Victor Harbor on the Fleurieu Peninsula, about 84 km from Adelaide, and walk the coast before your last night on the road.

Day 8 (Wednesday 17 November): Return the van

Drive back to Adelaide, refuel, empty the toilet cassette at a dump point and return before your depot's last drop-off time. The Supercars bp Adelaide Grand Final is due on the same streets a few weeks later, with its 2027 date not yet confirmed, if you want to stay on.

Tips for the Australian MotoGP in a campervan

  • Book your caravan park first: there is no camping at the circuit, and city caravan parks are the only places to stay in a campervan close to the race.
  • Check the official site before you pay deposits: the circuit still has to be built, and in October 2026 a Federal Court challenge over the park lands was before the court and works had not started. The dates are on the official 2027 MotoGP calendar.
  • Leave the van parked on race days: the circuit runs on closed city streets, so use public transport, taxi or rideshare from your park.
  • Register for ticket alerts: ticket prices and on-sale dates were not published when we checked. Sign up on the official MotoGP Adelaide site for updates.
  • Pick up mid-week: collecting on a Wednesday or Thursday avoids the weekend rush at depots and gives you a day or two in the Barossa or Adelaide Hills before practice starts.
  • Pack for spring in Adelaide: bring sun protection, a hat and layers for cool evenings, plus earplugs if you stay close to the city.
