About Camperman

Camperman Australia is a privately held, Australian-owned campervan rental company based in Cairns. It trades through Camperman Australia Group Pty Ltd, registered since 2004, and has no sister brands, so it is not part of thl, JUCY or any other rental group. It rents from five depots: Cairns, Airlie Beach, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Every Camperman is a Toyota HiAce high-top campervan running on petrol, from the 2 to 3 berth Juliette and Maxie 3 to the Maxie 4 Deluxe, the only model with a shower and toilet, and the five-seat Paradise Family 5. The daily rate includes unlimited kilometres, damage cover with a AU$500 excess, free extra drivers, tolls, bedding and a kitchen kit.

Is Camperman a good choice?

Camperman suits backpackers, couples and budget families travelling the east coast who want a simple price with few add-ons. Drivers can hire from 18, and there is no one-way fee between Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Its Google branch ratings average 4.2 out of 5 across about 1,360 reviews. The trade-offs are older vans, depots closed on Sundays and a 5-day minimum hire, so compare Spaceships or Travellers Autobarn on price.

Camperman campervan hire in Australia

Camperman's fleet is four Toyota HiAce high-top campervans, all on petrol: the Juliette 2-3 (manual only and the cheapest), the Maxie 3 (manual or automatic), the Maxie 4 Deluxe with a shower and toilet, and the Paradise Family 5, which seats five and sleeps four inside, with a tent supplied for a fifth traveller. There are no 4WDs or motorhomes, and the Paradise Family 5 isn't in our live search yet.

One-way hires between Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne have no one-way fee, while Airlie Beach adds AU$250. The Juliette and Paradise must stay in Queensland, NSW and Victoria, and returning to a depot you didn't book costs AU$1,500 plus the daily rate.
