About Britz
Britz is one of the longest-running campervan rental brands in Australia and New Zealand. It has been owned by Tourism Holdings (thl) since thl bought the New Zealand business in 1999, and it shares its branches with sister brands Apollo, maui and Mighty.
In Australia Britz rents 2WD campervans for 2 to 4 people plus two 4WD campers, the Maverick and the Warrior. In New Zealand it rents six 2WD models, from the HiTop van to the 5-berth Navigator motorhome, and Britz lists all of them as certified self-contained. Every 2WD hire includes unlimited kilometres.
Is Britz a good choice?
Britz suits travellers who want a practical mid-range camper, a 4WD for the outback, or a self-contained van for freedom camping in New Zealand. Its Google branch ratings average 4.6 out of 5 across more than 11,000 reviews, with the Australian branches rated higher than New Zealand. In Australia only the Trailblazer has a bathroom, so compare Apollo or maui if you want a toilet and shower.
